After lost my Japan ticket in 2015. Now, ready to explore Japan with myself.
My flight touch down at Kuala Lumpur Airport at 11pm local time. Only 1 hour transit then continue to my final destination. Approximately 7 hours over the air and landing in Narita airport.
Finished immigration checking, first I did was registered my modem. I rented a modem in Jakarta bundling with JR Pass. Price for modem was only Rp 70k per day with Rp. 500k deposit and JR Pass for 7 Days only 3.2 million rupiah. My advice if you make a japan trip and will visit some of place such as Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, could you please buy a JR Pass in here. Its profitable!!
You could easy to move from one destination to another destination using train or bus without pay anymore. Especially train ticket from Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka more expensive. That's why JR Pass is cheapest one. JR Pass only for the tourist.
After changed my ticket JR Pass in JR Pass counter in Airport, It was started my trip in Japan....!!!
Taken approximately 1.5 hours from Narita Airport to Tokyo station. Remember, If you use JR Pass, so just walk in manned gate and show your JR Pass to officer, not for Automatic gate. You may check this www.railpass-japan.com for more detail.
Tokyo station super big and crowded, so many people here and walk faster.
My first trip was Kyoto. So, I directly find a Shinkansen (Super Express Train) line.
So many Platform here, i was so confused. I asked the officer what the platform number to Kyoto. The old man can speak english, but need concentrate to know what he said.
Well, my seat was non-reserved, so I shall seat in any row except 1-5 row.
I just know that length of journey to Kyoto need approximately 2 hours. I set my alarm in my hand phone to reminder my self. Train sometime announce the station using english, but was not clearly. Mostly used local language. I just spend my time with watch Korea Drama. I love it, and The K2 drama accompanied me until arrived to Kyoto.
Next, i just walked to platform that bring me to Nijo JR station. I find a apartment around Nijo. That place was so strategies i thought. The apartment nearest to Nijo subway too, then so many department store around here.
I found that apartment so easily. Just walked 10 minute from Nijo JR Stasion. I dropped my bags that super heavy that made my pain back. Then...starting to explore Kyoto!!
I arrived at 3pm, only have some of hours before the night come. I ate Ramen first beside my apartment, its so delicious Ramen that i ever ate. Next, only need 15 minute walked to catch up Nijo Castle. That was i thought this apartment more strategies place. I found this place from airbnd apps. More cheapest than stayed in Hotel.
Back to Kyoto JR station, then found easily the Kyoto Tower.
I was so tired, then back to Apartment and sleep. Done for 1 Day in Kyoto :)
