I just wake up at 7am local time.
Suddenly I saw outside from balcony, when snow was running heavy.
I was breakfast with Rendang. I only had Rendang and Anchovy. Here, Seven Eleven sold rice box. Made easy without cook rice anymore. :))
Well, my first route to Kyoto-shi Ukyo-ku.
Kyoto is color full with heritage building and history. So many temples here and i did not have time to explore all of temples here. So pity to me, just visited some of temples.
From JR Nijo, My next stop was Saga Arashiyama station. From here, just walked 15 minute, then will find some of places around Arashiyama district are following:
1. Tenryu-ji Temple
Ticket entered paid 600 yen. Just information that The temple was founded by Ashikaga Takauji in 1339, primarily to venerate Gautama Buddha.
2. Bamboo grove road
Nearest Tenryu-ji Temple, only walked on the road and found small market. I tried any food before go to Bamboo grove.
3. Nonomiya Shrine
Nearest Bamboo grove, will find Nonomiya Shrine. Its Free.
Next destination, I want to Ryoan-ji Temple.
From Arashiyama (Arashiyama Line) transit at Katabiranotsuji (Kitano Line) to Ryoanji and then walk for 20minutes. Walked in cold weather and snow still was running heavy, Its amazing adventure to me. Damn cold!!!
Finally catch it,
4.Ryoan-ji Temple
I found nothing in here but only rocks in the garden. History came from concept of Zen Buddhism. There is an idiomatic phrase in Zen Buddhism “to look carefully at the place you are standing” meaning “to know yourself”. So, I just sit quietly in front of the garden and tried to translate what the meaning, but nothing. I only known that I spend 500 yen to enter here. Hahahaha
I was waiting Bus in bus stop in front of Gate of Ryoan Ji Tample. Next destination was Kinkaku-ji.
Actually, you can walk to catch it, maybe around 2km. But, i was so tired, then be waiting bus to bring me to there. Maybe only 10 minutes using a Bus no. 59.
Before entered the Pavilion, I bought chicken and soup. I was so hungry.
Then, back to walked and paid the ticket for 400 yen.
5. Rokuon-ji (Kinkaku-ji) Temple
Mostly tourist known it with Temple of Golden Pavilion.
| Me and Golden Pavilion with 12.5 meters in height |
| Walk down from Pavilion |
Next destination today was Nishiki Market.
I went there by city Bus no.12 / 101 to Shijo Kharasuma. Then, around there will find Nishiki Market.
Dinner here with some of Japan traditional food.
Back to Apartment using subway
