Kyoto - Osaka trip (Jan 21, 2017)

Started early morning, i was rushing time to move another city. My destination was Osaka. I only bought some of bread for breakfast. I was familiar enough with a map and more easy to find the right platform. Still same last time, just need checked signboard for Shinkasen schedule and faster to find seat in non-reserved.

Kyoto station to Shin Osaka station only need 12 minute by Shinkasen. That's why I little bit repent already paid another hotel in Osaka. I was traveling in Winter that's why I bring more clothes as usual, its made my back pain. If i know only need 12 minute to Osaka, I will keep stay in Kyoto with same apartment, no spent time to find a new apartment address and no back pain anymore.

Finally I find my Hotel, need 20 minutes walk from Sub way. I did not mention my location in Osaka, because it was not recommendation to stay. I was unlucky with this hotel :(. So far from sub way and I did not like to share bathroom!!

Fine, by Subway to Osaka castle.
Actually JR Pass only for JR Train and another that connecting with JR. So, I shall extra paid for subway.

I arrived Osaka but finally close. As result I just Sightseeing around of Osaka Castle. Free ticket and enjoy my time saw sunset in Osaka castle. Around here, i bought some of traditional food.

Next place, I went to Minami and Namba. by Subway Line to Minami (Namba).

Around here, i through some of place such as Kuromon Ichiba Market, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi-suji.

I made dinner here with full of Sushi. Mostly cheapest price for Sushi. I did 10 plate of Sushi. Fresh Sushi I ever ate. One plate have 2 sushi with price only 130 yen.

08pm I was back to Hostel. Take a rest for My precious itinerary.

Kyoto Trip - Day 2 (Jan 20, 2017)

I just wake up at 7am local time.
Suddenly I saw outside from balcony, when snow was running heavy.

I was breakfast with Rendang. I only had Rendang and Anchovy. Here, Seven Eleven sold rice box. Made easy without cook rice anymore. :))

Well, my first route to Kyoto-shi Ukyo-ku.
Kyoto is color full with heritage building and history. So many temples here and i did not have time to explore all of temples here. So pity to me, just visited some of temples.

From JR Nijo, My next stop was Saga Arashiyama station. From here, just walked 15 minute, then will find some of places around Arashiyama district are following:

1.  Tenryu-ji Temple
Ticket entered paid 600 yen. Just information that The temple was founded by Ashikaga Takauji in 1339, primarily to venerate Gautama Buddha.
I also taken picture outside the temple :)
when snow was running
without snow

                                                                                                                                                                 2. Bamboo grove road
Nearest Tenryu-ji Temple, only walked on the road and found small market. I tried any food before go to Bamboo grove

3. Nonomiya Shrine
Nearest Bamboo grove, will find Nonomiya Shrine. Its Free.

Next destination, I want to Ryoan-ji Temple.
From Arashiyama (Arashiyama Line) transit at Katabiranotsuji (Kitano Line) to Ryoanji and then walk for 20minutes. Walked in cold weather and snow still was running heavy, Its amazing adventure to me.  Damn cold!!!

Finally catch it,
4.Ryoan-ji Temple
I found nothing in here but only rocks in the garden. History came from concept of Zen Buddhism. There is an idiomatic phrase in Zen Buddhism “to look carefully at the place you are standing” meaning “to know yourself”. So, I just sit quietly in front of the garden and tried to translate what the meaning, but nothing. I only known that I spend 500 yen to enter here. Hahahaha

I was waiting Bus in bus stop in front of Gate of Ryoan Ji Tample. Next destination was Kinkaku-ji.
Actually, you can walk to catch it, maybe around 2km. But, i was so tired, then be waiting bus to bring me to there. Maybe only 10 minutes using a Bus no. 59.

Before entered the Pavilion, I bought chicken and soup. I was so hungry.
Then, back to walked and paid the ticket for 400 yen.

5.  Rokuon-ji (Kinkaku-ji) Temple
Mostly tourist known it with Temple of Golden Pavilion.

Me and Golden Pavilion with 12.5 meters in height
Walk down from Pavilion

Next destination today was Nishiki Market.
I went there by city Bus no.12 / 101 to Shijo Kharasuma. Then, around there will find Nishiki Market.
Dinner here with some of Japan traditional food.
Back to Apartment using subway
